Join me here and experience what it's like to own and drive a Ka- the joys, the traumas, the euphoria, the wrinkles, the lot.
The conception toward the purchase of a Ford Ka began for me early in 2001 with the necessity to own a reliable and
modern daily transport machine.

Just what do I really think of the Ka, then?

The paradox is that the Ford Ka is one of the few cars that can boast of a reaction and reception remotely similar to that
which the TR7 received (almost thirty years ago), way back in 1975! People HATE them! But people LOVE them as
well! There is also evidence that the Ka grows on you. Could the Ka really be years ahead of it's time too?
Have you ever driven one?
How it all began

On the 1st September 2001, I got a brand new moondust silver sun collection
Ka.
Ford built a 'limited number' of these cars which featured a fully retractable electrically-operated foldable
sunroof.
I ordered the car on Monday 25th June 2001. The car was built on Friday 20th July & delivered to dealer
on Monday 13th August ready for the new registration format on 1st September. I ran the car for almost 22,000 trouble
free miles and sold it on 25th July 2003. I loved my Ka, it was standard specification with air conditioning. Equipment included
Good Year GT2 165/65R13 Tyres!
I then got a Citreon pluriel, and drove it for almost two years covering
18,000 miles still admiring all of the many Ka's on the road! Then on 1st July 2005, I took delivery of a brand new Street
Ka and this is the car that i drive today!

DID YOU KNOW : The idea of sharp edges and swooping curves for the Ka design came from an Evian water bottle! It's true.
Ford's 'cutting edge' styling and success with the Ka has led to the style and 'fashion' for the Focus, Puma and now the next
generation of Ford's.
